Mourinho Expresses Confusion, Frustration With Int'l Break
Chelsea Manager, Jose Mourinho, has expressed his sadness at his team’s performance so far this season, especially as the players go into the international break next weekend.
The Blues’ start to the new season has been woeful as they have picked up only a win and a draw after four rounds of matches, a situation which makes it increasingly difficult for the team to defend their EPL trophy.
Their home defeat by Crystal Palace all but confirmed the coach’s confusion as the players go to their respective countries for the international break.
The one-time Real Madrid coach has now expressed his worries as his players are due to return a few days before he prepares to take on Everton in the Premier League, Goal.com reports.
“Because of the international break, the next match [against Everton] is in 15 days.
“I don’t know what happens in 15 days; every player goes away with their national team and I stay for two weeks with four players.
“I can’t work, I can’t improve. At this moment, I can’t do anything during these two weeks to improve my team,” the former Inter Milan manager ranted.
Nigerian Mother Let Off £145,000 NHS Bill After Birth Of Quintuplets
A NHS hospital failed to chase up a bill of £145,000 it should have charged a Nigerian woman who had quintuplets after travelling to Britain.
Bimbo Ayelabola, 37, underwent a complex caesarean section in 2011 but did not pay any of the cost of the operation and neo-natal care for her five babies.
But it has now emerged that Homerton University Hospital, in east London, will not pursue her for the outstanding bill.
The hospital involved has admitted it sent only one request for payment, more than six months after Miss Ayelabola left the hospital – and had failed to take any further action when it was returned unpaid.
Miss Ayelabola has since returned to her home city of Lagos, where she is a successful make-up artist.
She said: “I have never received my bill. If I had it, I would pay it.”
It follows claims by NHS whistleblowers that managers are instructing them to turn a blind eye to health tourists because it is ‘too much trouble’ to chase them for money.
According to NHS estimates, only around 16 per cent of the cost of treating foreigners who travel to Britain to receive treatment is ever recouped.
Miss Ayelabola obtained a visitor’s visa soon after discovering she was pregnant in 2010, travelling to the UK to stay with her younger sister, Stella, early in her pregnancy.
She gave birth to two boys and three identical girls at Homerton Hospital in Hackney, in April 2011 – seven weeks premature. She had a complex caesarean and remained in hospital for almost two weeks after the birth at a cost of £145,000 to UK taxpayers.
Although her visa expired, Miss Ayelabola continued living in her sister’s flat in Poplar, east London, after the births and did not return home until February 2013.
Miss Ayelabola’s children are now four years old and attending a private school.
She told the Mail: “What is it that’s my fault? I don’t understand.
“They blamed me that I came to the UK and I just came to use the system, which I did not do.
“If it (health tourism) is a problem in the UK, you should talk to the NHS. I have never received my bill. If I had it, I would pay it.”
She said that she was allowed to stay in the UK without needing to ask and without having to apply.
“I did not want to stay... it was just my situation,” Miss Ayelabola added.
It is understood Miss Ayelabola is separated from her wealthy husband, Ohi Nasir Ilavbare, but he is still involved in the children’s lives and is believed to pay for their education.
Miss Ayelabola is understood to have left the UK voluntarily in February 2013, following contact with the Home Office. It is believed she has been banned from returning to Britain for five years.
In the UK hospitals try to claw back the cost of treating foreign patients after they are discharged.
In France, Germany and Scandinavia, patients must pay in advance.
Official estimates of the cost to the NHS range up to £2billion but some commentators say the true figure is likely to be far higher because there is no proper recording system in place.
Homerton Hospital said it would not be contacting Miss Ayelabola for the payment, despite her assertion that she would pay up if she received a bill.
A spokesman said: “If she wishes to contact us, we would urge her to do so…. But we will not be contacting her.”
He added that Miss Ayelabola received a bill more than six months after she was discharged in 2011, which was returned to the hospital unopened. No further attempts were made to bill her, it is understood.
A spokesman for Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust added: "We hope the five children have prospered and are healthy. We would be pleased to reopen dialogue with Miss Ayelabola about her outstanding bill."
A Department of Health spokesman said: "It is completely unacceptable that people living outside the UK think they can abuse our NHS. We expect and are supporting the NHS to make every effort to reclaim money owed to it."

Don Jazzy Reveals How He Discovered Mavin Record Artists
Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy has spoken on how social media has helped some artistes on his label.
According to Daily Post, Michael Collins, famously known as Don Jazzy said he discovered one of his label acts, Reekado Banks on Twitter.
The wizard of hits also said two of his artistes, Tiwa Savage and Korede Bello owe their success to social media.
He said: “If today, you were a ‘mad talented’ but unknown musician that is yet to ‘blow’ – knowing all the things you know now, what would you do to get noticed?
“I would find a way to stand out on social media as I showcase my talent. FalzTheBahdGuy with his ‘Broda Taju’ alter ego Instagram videos turned him into a sensation. More recently, a talented guitarist named Godwyn was posting some of his renditions on Instagram which I ended up discovering. Within 48 hrs, we had him at Mavin studio recording and releasing ‘Promise.
He has gone on from there to get paid performances and continues to establish himself. Mavin artist Reekado Banks was discovered via Twitter. Linda Ikeji worked hard and smart and is the biggest online personality today. You don’t need a prophet to tell you that social media is the fastest place you can get noticed today. Reality star who spent $100,000 ( N22 M ) to look like Justin Bieber found dead
Tobias Strebel, the 35-year-old who spent more than $100,000 to look like Justin Bieber, has been found dead after he was reported missing on August 18, his manager confirmed on Wednesday.
“I am beyond devastated to hear the news about Tobias. Tobias was a kind, caring, and gentle soul that was dedicated and passionate to his music and career,” Hollywood manager Gina Rodriguez said. “For all the slings and arrows put forth against him, he always held his head high, treated everyone with respect, and had a warmth and glow to him that made anyone around him smile.”
“I was fortunate to have known Tobias and have had the chance to work with him in his entertainment career over the past couple years. My condolences go out to his family, ” Rodriguez continued.
Strebel’s body was found in a Motel 6 in the North Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles on August 21, the L.A. County coroner’s office told “Entertainment Tonight.”
However, his death was not reported to the media until Wednesday, August 26. It was unclear how he died.
3 Arrested At Lagos Airport For Swallowing 233 Wraps Of Cocaine
Three suspected drug traffickers have been nabbed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos State,after swallowing 233 wraps of powdery substances that tested positive for cocaine with a weight of 5.05 kilogrammes.
According to the Nigerian Tribune, the suspects were apprehended during an outward screening of passengers by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)
Two of the suspects, Obiekwe Frank Chuma and Okoye Jacob Okwuchukwu, were going to Hong Kong while Chukwunyere Prince Emmanuel was caught on his way to Italy.
NDLEA commander at the Lagos Airport, Mr. Hamza Umar, who gave a breakdown of the seized drugs, declared;
“Obiekwe Frank Chuma, 47 years old, ingested 80 wraps weighing 1.930 kilogrammes during screening of Emirates passengers; Okoye Jacob Okwuchukwu, 43 years old, was found to have ingested 70 wraps weighing 1.515 kilogrammes during screening of passengers on an Etihad flight while Chukwunyere Prince Emmanuel, 39 years old, ingested 83 wraps weighing 1.605 kilogrammes.
“Emmanuel was going to Bologna in Italy through Frankfurt on Lufthansa. They have voluntarily recorded their statements and our investigators are working on their cases.”

Got a mail on the situation this morning around Apapa Area while descending towards leventis.
The Nigerian military and other agency were trying to control the traffic on the bridge by giving way for smaller vehicle to go through when this Danfo driver came from nowhere and started obstructing traffic, leaving the queue that was created by the task force.
He was already causing traffic when eventually allowed to enter the front of a car, A military officer came and told him park and then roll on the floor from the bridge down to Area B police station.
The scene was such an entertaining one cos even his passengers said they told him to follow the queue peaceful but he refused.
I wish to use this medium to commend the Nigerian Military and the joint task force for the good work they are doing in other to ease traffic in Apapa..

A 24-year-old lady, now in police net, has explained while she stabbed her fiancé, Edet Ebong, to death with a kitchen knife.
The lady, identified as Blessing Edet, told our correspondent that the quarrel and subsequent fight which led to Ebong’s death was over s*x.
Blessing, residing at Ogombo village, Lekki in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State, said Ebong got angry and pounced on her after she refused him s*x.
Recalling the fateful incident of August 18, she said: “We lay down to sleep and he started making advances on me for s*x. I told him I had a hectic day and was tired. He flared up and started beating me.
“He broke the standing mirror in the room and injured me above my left eye with the broken glass.
In defence, I ran to pick up the kitchen knife I had used while preparing ‘Indomie’ noodles for him.
I mistakenly stabbed him in the stomach.” Rather than look for ways to stem the blood flowing out from his stomach, Ebong allegedly continued to chase his lover round the room until he became too weak.
Blessing recounted: “After stabbing him, the fight continued. He went under the bed, brought out a cutlass and said he was going to kill me.
It was at this point that my younger brother who had been trying to stop us, but to no avail, rushed out to call neighbours. “My landlord heard the shout and rushed into our room.
He saw Edet bleeding while I was holding a knife. He alerted the police and Edet was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately he died two days after.”
The love birds had been engaged for the past 18 months and were at the verge of finalising their marriage plans when the tragedy occurred.
The late Ebong, an employee of Akwa Ibom State Transport Company (AKTC), had returned to home around 11pm on that fateful day.
Blessing, who described herself as an orphan, added: “Edet was my fiancé. We have been in a relationship for about 18 months now.
However, six months ago, he had trouble with his accommodation; so I told him to move in with me since we were already engaged.
“We have never had a misunderstanding before. But on that fateful day, I had just returned from the day’s business and was resting when he came in.
Edet came in drunk. He requested I prepare ‘Indomie’ noodles for him, which I did. “After eating, he asked me of the engagement ring he had given to me. I told him it was on the table.
This was before he started beating me. Sincerely, I stabbed unintentionally, even while he was in the hospital, I prayed he would survive. I don’t know what came over him that day. We had good plans for the future.
He was not just a lover but also a brother.” Blessing said that she started living alone four years ago, after her aunt told her that her presence in her home was making her husband uncomfortable.
The woman assisted Blessing and her kid brother to secure a room apartment. It was this home that Ebong later came to join her.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Patricia Amadin, said she was still trying to access the full details of the incident at press time.
But a resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “It was around 12am and 1am when they started fighting.
They were disturbing the peace of the entire village. I heard the argument.
It was about noddle which Blessing’s boyfriend, Obong, asked her to prepare. She prepared it without adding ‘Sardine’ which he had requested.
“The argument led to a fight. Blessing later stabbed Obong. She shouted ‘I will stab you with knife’.
And that was what she did. She ripped open the man’s stomach.” Another resident said: “The two friends are from Akwa Ibom State. But Blessing, who is a prostitute, rented a room in this village.
Then, she started bearing Amaka. She has no other work than to be sleeping with men and clubbing.”
The resident added that a few months ago, the two lovers had a quarrel which made Blessing to throw out Obong’s belongings from her room. According to her, it was when Blessing could not cope again that she mended fence with Edet.
