The corpses of two naked women were on Tuesday, abandoned by the roadside in Atele Street in the Anibaba community, Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
Residents were thrown into shock as they reportedly woke up to the sight of the corpses, whose breasts and private parts were cut off.
They, however, were said to have tried locating the families of the deceased women whose identities were yet to be ascertained, but all efforts were futile.

According to Punch, the incident was the second time in two weeks that mutilated bodies of women would be found in the area.
It will be recalled that on Monday that six women were found dead in a canal in the area on Saturday, December 5 and that the decomposing corpses were thereafter removed by officials of the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit, and deposited in a morgue in Yaba.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe Offor, said the relatives of the women were yet to show up, although, the police were investigating the cause of the women’s death.
The bodies, she said, were dumped behind a house on the street.
