The Super Eagles coach Sunday
Oliseh has been reported ill ahead of the CHAN 2016 qualifier against Burkina
Faso.
Oliseh led the Eagles to a resounding 3 – 0 victory over
Cameroon on Sunday, October 11, but will miss the home-based Eagles clash
against the West African nation due to an unspecified illness.
According to sportinglife,
Oliseh will not take charge of Saturday’s clash against Burkina Faso but his
assistant will be in charge of the tie.
Oliseh was given the
go-ahead by the NFF to visit a doctor in Belgium after a meeting with the
national football governing body’s president, Amaju Pinnick.
Oliseh also sent an e-mail
to the federation’s secretary general, Mohammed Sanusi who gave him the go
ahead to be absent from the tie.
When contacted, Sanusi
refused to reveal details of Oliseh’s e-mail report. He said Amaju Pinnick
should be contacted to give more details.
The Senator also urged
Oliseh to beg Vincent Enyeama to overturn his retirement.
