Despite losing his bid to be
in the state House of Assembly, Dayo Adeneye the entertainment guru has
almost succeeded in entering the corridors of power in Ogun state.
Adeneye is finally making in-roads into government with his
nomination as a commissioner nominee. This is a reward for his steadfastness.
At the sitting of the Ogun
state House of Assembly on Thursday, October 22, the speaker, Surajudeen Ishola
Adekunbi read out a letter written to the House by the Ogun state governor, Sen
Ibikunle Amosun, asking for the screening of five additional commissioner
nominees.
On the list sent to the
House by the governor are Modupeola Mujota, Adenrele Adesina, Babajide Odubanjo,
Adewale Oshinowo and Dayo Adeneye.
D1, as Dayo Adeneye is fondly called, will be screened alongside other nominees on Friday, October 23 from 11am.

Adeneye had contested for a
seat at the state House of Assembly to represent Odogbolu local government but
he lost out at the primaries.
After his defeat, Governor
Amosun employed Adeneye in his campaign team where he served as a member of the
governor’s campaign media and publicity team. After the election, he was a
member of the 2015 Inauguration Committee of Ogun state.
