Wife abused before husband allegedly shot her

Crystal Hamilton’s husband Ronald Hamilton abused her long before he allegedly shot and killed her in their home in Woodbridge, Va. Saturday night.
In addition to having multiple affairs, he had a history of violently yelling at her, forcing her to take down social media posts and tracking her whereabouts, according to Shayna Colunga, one of Crystal’s best friends.
He would cut her phone plan and cancel her bank cards, Colunga said. These incidents would reportedly happen time and time again in private and public.
“He kept going towards her until she fell down their stairs at their home in Hawaii,” Colunga said Crystal told her.
In February of last year, the two were having lunch when he barged into the restaurant and yelled “‘get up and let's go, you’re not moving fast enough Crystal,’” according to Colunga.
The restaurant’s manager reportedly called and spoke with cops almost immediately after the episode but nothing came of it, she added.
Colunga says he was a jealous man.
According to Colunga, he placed a tracking device on her car, unexpectedly showed up to her work and hated when she went out.
The night she was killed, Crystal was scheduled to go to dinner and a show with her friends. She never made either.
She was 29.
“Crystal was an amazing person”, Colunga said. “She lit up a room when she walked in.
