Next up from Yeezus! Kanye West revealed the title of his upcoming seventh studio album on Sunday, Mar. 1, using Twitter to share the news.
West has yet to confirm an actual
release date, because there will not be one, the rapper said during a
recent interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club.
“Release dates are played out," he said, sharing that he would follow
in the footsteps of Beyonce and Drake. "So, the surprise is going to be a
surprise. There goes the surprise!"
The rapper also dished some details on the sound and feel of his latest album -- the follow-up to his 2013 album Yeezus -- saying this record would definitely be different from his last.
“Bars, cookout music that just feels like— my last album was a protest to music," he said of Yeezus.
"This album is just embracing the music, embracing joy, and being of
service to the people. I just hope that people like it and enjoy it.”
