Female Student Goes Blind After Slap By Principal’s Secretary

Before January 29, 2015, the girl’s eyes could be said to be perfect, going by the picture she took with her friends the same month when the school celebrated its 50th anniversary. But the tide changed against Iyanu and it seems she has lost an eye.
Sunday Tribune gathered that the event that led to the change in Iyanu’s life started when she was allegedly slapped by one Mrs Funke Fashina, said to be the secretary to the principal of the school. And what was her offence? The woman reportedly saw her and two other girls emerging from an unused room within the school building and enquired to know what they were doing there. Before they could reply, she landed a slap on Iyanu’s face first, and subsequently others.
The girl’s right eye was said to have developed a problem and had got worse, with the University CollegeHospital, Ibadan (UCH), saying that she would require a surgery. Iyanu told Sunday Tribune that she could no longer see with the right eye.

Narrating her experience to Sunday Tribune, Iyanu said:
“On Thursday, January 29, students were having an Agriculture class, so those of us offering Food and Nutrition left the class and three of us went to stay in one of the rooms in the building.
“We saw our teacher from the window of the room so we wanted to step out to go and meet her. As we were about to leave the room, we saw the secretary to the Principal, Mrs Funke Fasina. She asked us what we were doing in that room but before we could explain, she slapped us one after the other.
“By the time I got home, my left eye had turned red and painful. I told my mother what happened but she dismissed me, saying that I would not have been slapped if I didn’t do something wrong. On Monday February 9, my mother followed me to school and the principal asked my mother to take me to the hospital.

“We went to Catholic Hospital, Eleta, Ibadan and we were told to do the scan of the eye. By then, my eye had become bulgy and I was no longer seeing clearly. We went to St. Gregory’s Ultrasound Centre, Yemetu. From there, we went to the University College Hospital, Ibadan and I was told that I would undergo surgery. We were told to bring N300,000 as deposit. My parents have reported the case at the police station in Alakia Adelubi and the woman admitted that she slapped me.”
Iyanuoluwa said before the slap, she never had any pain or itch in her eye, so the report that she had a problem with her eye does not hold water. “Now I can no longer see with my right eye and I am going through a lot of pains,” she stated.

Boy burns himself to death after dad asked him to Quit TV Games

Hsueh Jun-Chen, A 22-year-old Taiwanese student, has angrily poured petrol all over his body before burning himself to death after his father asked him to stop playing video game and go to bed.

The TV game addict was reportedly in his room playing Winning Eleven Soccer game at his family home in Fenyuan town, western Taiwan, when father, Liu, told him to go to sleep.

The father thought that was the end of the matter until he could not find his son the following day.He went outside to look for him and found the undergraduate's charred remains about 300 meters away from the house.

A devastated Liu told Daily Mail that he had only asked his son to stop gaming because of his academics.

"I had simply said that he should sleep rather than play because university was starting again after the holidays. He said he would and that's the last time I saw him alive. When I saw that he wasn't in his room the next day, I went into the garage to see if he had gone out on his motorbike. The bike was still there but I noticed that two cans of petrol were missing. That made me feel worried and I began to fear the worst."

Police believe that academic pressures and worries about getting a job after graduation may have contributed to his decision to commit suicide.

Hollywood legend, Harrison Ford's Plane Crash-lands into Golf Course after Engine Failure

Hollywood action star and legend,Harrison Ford was involved in a plane crash when he crash landed into a Venice, California golf course Thursday afternoon.

According to reports,moments before the crash, in audio of his conversation with air traffic control, an unemotional Ford can be heard asking for an emergency landing because his engine had failed.
The 72-year-old actor who has been a licensed pilot for nearly two decades, wasn't going to be able to make the runaway at Santa Monica Airport so he picked a long green at the nearby Penmar golf course to land out of the way of the congested neighborhood.


While Ford was rushed from the scene bleeding heavily from a head wound, his injuries were described only as 'moderate' and he is expected to make a full recovery.
'At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man,' his son Ben Ford tweeted just two hours after the crash. 'Thank you all for your thoughts and good vibes for my dad.'

A recent report suggest Davido has knocked an Abuja based woman simply known as Sophie.
The report which was released by National Enquirer say,

Davido and Sophie, an Abuja based university drop-out kicked off their affair around July 2014 after she was offered as the ‘soul-calmer’ for the night during one of his trips to the prestigious Transcorp Hilton hotel, Abuja. The relationship between Davido and Belladona, as she is popularly known, we further obtained, started getting serious around early September 2014 even though his HKN gang never supported it.’

Girl kidnapped at birth reunited with parents -- 17 years later

Parents in South Africa have been reunited with their daughter -- 17 years after the baby girl was kidnapped.

They called her Zephany - but her parents Morne and Celeste Nurse only knew her for three days before she was stolen from her hospital cot."It's heartbreaking as a mom," said Celeste Nurse. "You can't stop thinking about her."
The Nurses had three more children. But they never gave up hope, celebrating their missing daughter's birthday every year.
Then 17 years later their daughter Cassidy came home from high school with some remarkable news: there was a girl at school that resembled her.
"I wanted to get to know this girl," said Morne.

He also managed to take photographs of the girl. "That's when we saw the photo of her and I burst out," said Celeste. "I got this feeling inside, I just grabbed my heart and said this is my daughter. This is my daughter!"
The police were brought in and a nail-biting six week wait began during which DNA tests were taken. Then a detective phoned and told Celeste, "you are a mother again."
Celeste - overwhelmed by emotions - could hardly believe it. It turned out Zephany had been living just a few miles away.
"I burst out into tears when I saw her," said Celeste. "I couldn't stop crying. I couldn't stop crying. I said,'finally I found you, for 17 years I have been looking for you. I found you finally, you're mine again.'"

And this young mother who always believed she'd find her daughter is now prepared to forgive.
"When I see the woman that took her, I want to give her a hug," said Celeste. "When I see her I want to say thank you, you've done a good job, look at my daughter she's beautiful inside and out."
The woman who stole Zephany and raised her as her own is facing charges of kidnapping and will appear in court on Friday. Zephany -- who grew up under a different name -- has been taken to a place of safety by social welfare officials until a decision is made about her future.

2. DEOBA AUTHENTIC
This is the one I call “Cutie Mi” because Deoba Authentic is one of the cutest guys in the Naija London Entertainment Industry. A true confirmation that Great things come in small packages, Deoba is a Multi Award Winning Celebrity DJ, radio Presenter and Afro Soul Artist. Deoba loves his clothes and takes great pride in his looks which he grooms to perfection at all times.

3. KB DAVIES
Kehinde Bamgbose Davies is easily the tallest guy I have ever seen. Standing well over 7ft he dwarfs many men in his age bracket. But far from being tall in an awkwardish manner, KB Davies carries his height just like a male model. Charmayne Maxwell Dead: Grammy-Nominated Brownstone Singer Dies at 46

Charmayne "Maxee" Maxwell, a member of the '90s girl group Brownstone, died this past Saturday, Feb. 28, her brother Brandon Maxwell confirmed via Twitter. She was 46.

The exact caught of her death remains unknown, but Brandon provided some insight on her tragic and sudden passing. "R.I.P my beautiful sister Charmayne 'Maxee' Maxwell," he tweeted. "I can't even believe I'm typing this right now."

 

"Bad things happened to the most innocent people," he continued on Twitter. "My sister died in the most terrible way, and I'm in so much pain right now."
