
The sad incident occurred at number 25, Akintobi Badejo street,
Sabo, Ogun state when the son allegedly pushed down his 69-year-old father
during an argument.
On Wednesday morning, the
suspect vandalised a blue Honda Accord which belonged to his brother-in-law.
He was eventually subdued, given some sedatives and detained.
According to Daily Sun, a
fight had occurred between the father and his son. It was during the fight that
the son pushed his father who collapsed and was later confirmed dead at a
private hospital.
The 69-year-old man who was
an indigene of Ogbomoso, Oyo state was said to have been rushed to Mercy
Hospital in Onikolobo, Abeokuta where he was confirmed dead.
An eyewitness said: “As
a parent, the father was not happy that the boy smokes Indian hemp and so much
has been spent on him and he was not ready to take him to psychiatric hospital
because of finance, that was what took them to the church before he came back
and broke the wind screen of a car belonging to his brother-in-law.”
Meanwhile, Moses Okezie, a 49-year old prophet from
Isiala Ngwa in Abia state, has been remanded in prison for reportedly
defrauding and engaging two different women in marathon sex under the guise
of deliverance.
Okezie, a resident at 6
Olowo-Okere street Idimu, is faced with a two-count charge before a magistrate
court in Ejigbo.
