The president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju
Pinnick has hinted that the country is making moves to employ the services of a
world class coach who will assist the Super Eagles solve the problem of goal
scoring.
Since the arrival of Sunday
Oliseh as the chief coach of the team, Nigeria have managed only four goals in
five competitive matches.
According to Africanfootball.com, Pinnick said: “Our
coach (Sunday Oliseh) is a very sound coach, but we have to develop a way to
score goals and that is why we are looking at some heavyweight coaches to help
us in this regard.
Despite the fact that the Super
Eagles remain unbeaten in their last five games, Nigerians are yet to be
convinced on the pattern of play of the current crop of players that make-up
the team having struggled against Niger, Swaziland and Tanzania.
Sunday Oliseh will
certainly experience his coaching birth in 2016 as his team will battle the
Pharaohs of Egypt at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers to be hosted in
Gabon as well as begin their quest to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
