Air Asia search: Rescuers start retrieving bodies, debris from water; '95%' likely from plane

Updated map showing the search zones for the missing AirAsia Flight QZ8501 (click for larger version)
Updated map showing the search zones for the missing AirAsia Flight QZ8501

WHAT THEY KNOW SO FAR:

- Indonesia air traffic control (ATC) lost contact with AirAsia flight QZ8501 bound for Singapore from Surabaya, Indonesia and carrying 162 people on board went missing on Sunday morning, around an hour after it left Juanda International Airport at 5:35am Indonesia time.
- Indonesian rescue personnel are descending into the water to retrieve the first bodies and debris found in the area, about 10km away from where the plane was last seen on the radar. Indonesia's search and rescue chief says he is "95 per cent sure" that the debris belong to the missing aircraft. Next-of-kin of the passengers and crew have also been informed to this effect.
- The plane was over the Java Sea between Belitung island and Pontianak, on Indonesia's part of Kalimantan island, tracked four minutes after its pilot, Captain Iriyanto, stopped responding to ATC. Iriyanto had requested at 6:12am Indonesia time to veer left (this was approved) and ascend to 38,000 feet from 32,000 feet. After Indonesia's ATC informed the pilot at 6:14am Indonesia time of a revised height of 34,000 feet (because flight QZ8502 was cruising at 38,000 feet altitude), there was no response. The plane was then officially declared missing at 7:55am Indonesia time.

We've put together the stories of some of the passengers and crew on board the plane as well.
4:48pm: Yahoo Singapore has been informed by a relative of the next-of-kin of a passenger on board the missing plane that the debris found is confirmed to be from QZ8501. They have also been told to prepare for the worst.
4:38pm: Indonesian channel TVOne has started broadcasting images of divers descending from helicopters into the water to retrieve bodies and other items that have so far been found in the area:

4:29pm: The Associated Press reports that bodies were found floating near the site where the missing plane was last seen.
Meanwhile, an air force plane spotted a "shadow" on the seabed, believed to be the missing jet.
3:59pm: Indonesia search and rescue chief Henry Bambang Soelistyo says he is "95 per cent sure" that the debris found so far by search and rescue teams is from the missing AirAsia flight, announcing this in a press conference broadcasted live minutes earlier.
"The remaining 5% (doubt) is because I have yet to see for myself the emergency door and other debris," he added. The debris, he said, were found 10km away from the spot where the plane was last seen on the radar.
He said that all debris found will be brought to the search base in Belitung, and has mobilised all resources searching the water to move toward the area where the items, and at least one body, were spotted.
He also said a boat with 11 divers from the Indonesian navy and the Indonesian search and rescue team has been sent to the exact location so they can pick up as much evidence as possible to examine.
3:28pm: The Jakarta Post quotes Indonesian aviation chief Djoko Murjatmodjo as saying that debris found by the Indonesian search and rescue team so far is confirmed to be "from an aircraft bearing red and white colours".
“The recovery process will now be centered in the debris location in coordination with Basarnas [the National Search and Rescue Agency],” he reportedly said.

Kylie Jenner's Boyfriend Tyga Wants Primary Custody of Son with Ex Blac Chyna

Tyga-Kylie-Jenner-Blac-Chyna
Kylie Jenner's rumored boyfriend, Tyga, is about to ask for primary custody of his son with his ex, Blac Chyna
Tyga reportedly thinks his ex is unfit to be a parent! Get all of the details below!
According to TMZ, Tyga thinks Blac Chyna isn't focused on caring for their 2-year-old child, King Cairo. He reportedly think she's only interested in going to clubs and twerking for cameras.

Last week, a video of Amber Rose and Blac Chyna twerking was posted online. That night, Blac Chyna went to a club. When Tyga saw the video and heard about her going to club later that day, he made the decision to ask for primary custody.
Right now, there's no custody order in place, although Blac Chyna does have their son more often. But, it sounds like Tyga is ready to change that.
If Tyga does get primary custody, do you think Kylie Jenner is ready to be a step-mom?

8 siblings found stabbed to death at their home in Cairns, Australia

The bodies of eight children who are siblings and aged between 18 months and 15-years-old, were found at a home in Cairns, Australia in the early hours of today Dec. 19th following a massacre.

Their mother was also stabbed but she survived and is currently in critical condition in the hospital.
Detective Inspector Bruno Asnicar said that the woman was the mother of seven of the dead children with the other child a relation. He described the massacre as a 'tragic and traumatic event'. Scores of detectives, paramedics and forensic officers have swarmed over the home on Murray St in Manoora, around 4km west of the coastal town's main tourist strip.

Details about what investigators found inside the house has not been revealed but a neighbour said she had been told there were bloody scenes 'everywhere' inside. Officers who arrived first on the scene said it was like 'something out of a horror movie'. Specialist police officers are now on their way from Brisbane to help with the situation and the crime scene is completely locked down.
'There's not much else we can say, but what we have a range of strategies in place to support the family through this very difficult time,' Detective Inspector Asnicar said.
'It's a tragic and traumatic with so many deceased in one place. It's right up there with some of the most serious things I've ever had to deal with.'
Ms Thaiday said another sibling, a 20-year-old man, arrived home to discover his brothers and sisters dead inside the house.
He is now being consoled by other family members.
'I'm going to see him now, he needs comforting,' Ms Thaiday said. She described the family and extended relatives as close-knit and many live in surrounding suburbs.
'We're a big family and most of us are from the (Torres) Strait,' she said, adding that she rushed to the scene after hearing about the incident on the radio.

The woman at the centre of the Cairns family massacre was ‘happy go lucky and seemed to really love her kids’, Daily Mail Australia has been told.
Robert Struber, who lived for 20 years in the house where the stabbing murders took place said he had spoken with the 34-year-old on several occasions while visiting his former neighbours.
He said the last time he had seen the mother a few months ago she was ‘friendly and happy to chat’ and that she had mainly looked after her large family.
Mr Struber had not met the father of the children.
He said the street had a mixture of Aboriginal families and people from the Torres Strait and Cook Islands. he moved out of the four bedroom house two years ago because it was too large, and said that following the tragedy he ‘never wanted to go back inside it’.
Mr Struber described the 34-year-old woman at the centre of the family massacre as ‘happy go lucky and seemed to really love her kids’. He had spoken with her on several occasions while visiting his former neighbours.
He said she had mainly looked after her large family well. Mr Struber had not met the father of the children.
Police said it would be several hours before forensic officers would be able to complete their work inside the house - while detectives continued inquiries to establish what had led up to the slaughter.
Detectives rushed to the house in Murray Street at about 11.20am today after they received reports a woman had suffered serious injuries.
The street has been branded a crime scene and the area has been locked down. Their home is a rented Housing Commission residence.

Kris and Bruce Jenner Finalize Divorce

Kris and Bruce Jenner (Getty Images)

It's legally over for Kris and Bruce Jenner… the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars have finalized their divorce. It's been a little over a year since the ex-couple formally announced their separation.

A Los Angeles county judge has signed legal documents, but they won't be officially divorced until March 23, 2015, due to the six-month legal requirement. The Insider With Yahoo obtained the papers, which show that Kris will keep the family home while the pair will divide various bank accounts and other assets. Per the agreement, Kris has to pay Bruce $2.5 million to equalize things. They did not have a prenup.
According to the documents, neither Bruce, 65, nor Kris, 59, will receive spousal support and there was no need for a custody provision as Kylie Jenner, 17, will turn 18 next year.

"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," they said in a joint statement. "But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."
In September, the family matriarch filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, listing their date of separation as June 1, 2013. Bruce filed similar papers. Each asked to retain their own jewelry.
In October, Kris talked with People about co-parenting, saying they "are just trying to be grown-ups about the situation."

"We have children together, and we have families and memories and holidays and traditions. I don't want to give that up. I don't want him to take that away from me, and I don't want to take that away from him," she said. "We work together to make sure that we're both happy. We are well-rounded human beings that are going through a tough time. You just do the best that you can."
Both Bruce and Kris may or may not be dating again.
Bruce was rumored to be seeing Kris's longtime friend and former assistant, Ronda Kamihira, while Kris has been spotted getting cozy with Corey Gamble, a road manager for Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun. Last month she and Gamble, 41, were photographed holding hands after a trip to Mexico.
Police seal off the incident area where 8 children were stabbed to Death in Australia
A massive tragedy occurred in an Australian family today.
Eight children from one family, some as young as 18 months old, have been found stabbed to death at a home in Cairns in Queensland’s far north,Australia.
Emergency services were called to the Murray Street house in the Cairns suburb of Manoora at 11.20am local time on Friday, on reports a 34-year-old woman was seriously injured.
They found the bodies of eight children, aged between 18-months and 15-years old, inside
the house.
The injured woman is the mother of the eight children. Her cousin, Lisa Thaiday, told AAP the alarm was raised by a 20-year-old man, who is the brother of the eight children. He had reportedly returned home to find his brothers and sisters dead in their house.
Far north regional crime co-ordinator, Detective Inspector Bruno Asnicar, said the woman was helping police with their inquiries but is not in police custody.
But he said the public had nothing to fear from the incident.
“As it stands at the moment there’s no need for the public to be concerned, other than it’s a tragic, tragic incident,” Asnicar said.
He said it was too early to say what had happened in the house, and would not comment on eyewitness reports that a man had been seen standing on in the front yard of the house earlier that day.
Addressing the media at the scene at 1.30pm local time, Asnicar said forensic officers were examining the Murray Street house, an operation he said which could take “several days”.
He himself has not yet been inside, but has been briefed on the number of victims.
“I can tell you that at this stage I believe there’s eight. As I told you at this stage the scene is locked down, that could go up or down,” he said.
Aniscar said police who first responded to the incident were distressed but acted professionally.
“These events are extremely distressing for everyone, of course, and police officers aren’t immune to that, we’re human beings as well. But the police we have here are very highly trained and professional ...
“This will be done to the nth degree and we will cover every angle.”
Prime Minister Tony Abbott said the incident in Cairns was “heartbreaking” and an “unspeakable crime”.
“All parents would feel a gut-wrenching sadness at what has happened,” he said.
Abbott said these were “trying days for our country”.
“Tonight, there will be tears and prayers across our country for these children. My thoughts are with the Queensland Police and all who have to respond to this terrible situation.”
Officers from the Cairns criminal investigation branch, the child protection and investigation unit and scenes of crime have set up a mobile facility at the scene.
A Murray Street resident, Stephen Lillingstone, told Guardian Australia the incident had occurred on a section of the street that was almost exclusively publicly owned housing.
“That area where it is is a bit rowdy,” he said. “You get your flare-ups and everything.” 8 children killed from one family? What kind of person stabs an 18 month old baby to death? Can't even comprehend this tragedy,it is terrible,my thoughts are with the relatives and the people of Australia.May all eight souls rest in peace.

Beyonce And Jay-Z Are Being Sued For “Drunk In Love”

Beyonce And Jay-Z Are Being Sued

Beyonce and Jay-Z made one of the greatest hits of the year, but now everything is at risk. Apparently “Drunk in Love” isn’t that original as it seems. Hungarian singer Mitsou has filed a lawsuit against Beyonce, Jay-Z and the producers of the song (including Timbaland) because the track allegedly uses Mitsou’s voice for more than a minute throughout the song.
She claims that they sampled and digitally manipulated her performance from a 1995, using her vocals singing the traditional Roma folk song called “Bajba, Bajba Pelem” without any permission given by her.
In the lawsuit that Mitsou filled on Friday in Manhattan civil court, she is seeking unspecified damages and says that no one asked for her permission to use her vocals neither did she ever signed any documents that would permit someone to use her voice for advertisement or trade purposes. She also claims that she didn’t know about her part in the song until friend mentioned it to her. Then the shock came.

Hungarian singer said that Beyonce and Jay-Z don’t deserve all the credit. In fact, according to MTV, Bey and Jay don’t deserve 29 percent of credit, because that’s how long the parts of Mitsou’s singing are in total. She claims that “Drunk in Love” begins with 13 seconds off her a cappella solo. Then her voice continues to sing as Beyonce starts to sing. That goes up until 41 second mark. After that, her vocals reappear while Jay-Z raps from 3:14 until 4:05, for a total of 51 seconds. Sample of her song recorded with her folk band Ando Drom has been a featured more than 1.5 minutes in 5.5 minutes long tune. Among other things, suit says following:

Kylie Jenner and Tyga Visit L.A. Children's Hospital

Kylie and Tyga visit the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles
'Tis the season to give back, which is exactly what Kylie Jenner and her boyfriend, Tyga, did on Monday.

The undercover couple visited the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles together where the rapper, 25, hosted the L.A. Gear Presents Teen Impact Holiday Party. He and Jenner, 17, brought a wagon full of gifts and handed toys out to sick kids and their families.

Though she arrived wearing jeans and a crop top (the Kardashian uniform these days), Kylie covered up in some scrubs while meeting with the children. There, she happily posed for pics with patients.
"It was great to come back to @childrensla to bring christmas to the kids. Thank you to @lagear and @808audio and @idvproducts @djskee for helping me bring a smile to so many kids faces. It's amazing! #Humbled," Tyga captioned one photo on Instagram. In the snapshot, he is photographed in various pictures hanging with the children.

Tyga also shared the pic below, which he captioned: "@childrensla the littlest things could mean the most to someone #givingback #thankful #helpingmatters."

While there's no question that Tyga and Kylie are definitely an item, they have been keeping their relationship under wraps since the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star isn't quite legal yet. Only eight more months to go! Think they'll still be together when Kylie turns 18 on Aug. 10?

Mel B Moves Out of Home Amid Stephen Belafonte Abuse Rumors

Mel B Moves Out of Home Amid Stephen Belafonte Abuse Rumors: Report
Former "Scary Spice" Mel B has walked out on her husband of seven years, Stephen Belafonte, amid fervent Internet rumors of domestic abuse, the Sun Newspaper reports.

Rumors started spreading online on Sunday, Dec. 14, when Mel appeared on the UK's X Factor finale show, having missed the semi-finals the night before due to an unspecified illness.
When the feisty northerner appeared on the show without her wedding ring and sporting what looked like bruises on her face and arms, worried fans began speculating about the "real" cause of her absence. As Us Weekly previously reported, for his part, Belafonte responded to comments made on Twitter, denying allegations and calling them "disgusting" and "untrue".

But according to the Sun, the former Spice Girl has now left the London home she shared with the American director, and sources have confirmed to Us that luggage and boxes were being taken away from the house on Monday, Dec. 15.

One source told Us the duo have always had a "volatile" relationship, while another revealed the X Factor judge was in tears during commercial breaks for the hugely popular finale show.

Mel B's sister Danielle Brown added fuel to the rumors, by tweeting out a series of increasingly desperate messages during her sister's mystery illness, threatening to go to the press with recordings of what she called "abusive" phone calls Belafonte had allegedly made to Mel in the past week, unless she and her mom were able to contact the singer, or at least find out what was wrong with her.

A rep for Mel B could not be reached for comment.

Is Malia Obama Pregnant? Jenna Bush Hager Defensive Over President’s Daughters After Pregnancy Hoax

Malia Sasha Obama
Jenna Bush Hager said she felt protective of the president's daughters after Malia Obama pregnancy rumors circulated.
One of the most viral hoaxes on the Internet is the Malia Obama pregnancy rumor. The 16-year-old is not pregnant, but naïve netizens have fallen for the phony story after Empire News -- a satirical news site -- fabricated it Nov. 26. Jenna Bush Hager, someone who probably knows what Malia is going through because of the vicious rumor, said she felt defensive for the president’s daughters.
"I'm fiercely protective of them, obviously," Bush Hager told "Watch What Happens Live" Dec. 4. "I don't think that it's easy. It's not a job that they wanted. … I had a hard time [growing up in the White House], but it's also a privilege."

Though the pregnancy rumor is more than 2 weeks old, it gained life again Sunday after the Washington Post wrote a story about the Internet rumors of the week. Compounding the fact people didn’t realize Empire News is a phony site, the rumor was perpetuated by a Facebook account named “Fox News Channel.” When they shared the story, many confused it with Fox News and believed it to be true, Buzzfeed noted.

The White House has not responded to the pregnancy rumor, which came after Elizabeth Lauten criticized Malia, 16, and Sasha, 13, for their Thanksgiving turkey-pardoning attire. The communications director for U.S. Rep. Stephen Fincher, R-Tenn., later apologized for her “classless” comment and then resigned.

All about the hostage situation going on in Australian cafe right now

Around 9.30am this morning Dec. 14th, a man witnesses described as wearing a headband covered in Arabic walked into a central Sydney cafe, produced a gun and now holding several people - about 15/20 - hostage inside the cafe. He later forced crying women to hold a black Islamic flag up to the window. He is believed to be affiliated with Islamic sect ISIS. Read full story after the cut...
From UK Daily Mail

Fear etched into their faces, two young female employees have fled a central Sydney cafe more than seven hours after a terrorist armed with a gun took more than a dozen people hostage and forced crying women to hold a black Islamic flag up to the window.
A total of five hostages, including barista Elly Chen, have now escaped the Lindt cafe in Martin Place an hour after a male employee and two male customers scrambled from a fire exit and sheltered behind heavily armed police officers shortly before 3.45pm on Monday.
It is understood the hostages escaped from the cafe, rather than being released by their captor. One former male hostage has been taken to nearby St Vincent's Hospital, in Sydney's inner suburbs, and is being treated for a pre-existing condition.
The gunman flew into a rage when he realised some of his captives had escaped.
'The gunman could be seen from here getting extremely agitated, shouting at remaining hostages,' tweeted journalist Chris Reason, who has a direct line of sight into the cafe from the Seven Network newsroom directly opposite and inside the police cordon.
