Police seal off kidnappers’ houses in Ogijo(Photo)

The Police have sealed off two houses built by some members of the gang that kidnapped Dayo Adekoya, secretary of Isheri North GRA Landlords Association.

Force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), who confirmed the arrest of Joseph Omoni, 38, over Adekoya’s kidnap, said the suspect took the police to the houses in Century Village, Ogijo, Ogun State.

The suspect, it was gathered, told investigators that he and another gang member called Chairman built the houses.

Omoni, an Ondo State indigene, allegedly confessed to be among the gang that killed a broadcaster Mrs Aisha Alli-Balogun Abiose, and kidnapped nine persons including her daughter.

The suspect also reportedly confessed to be among those who invaded Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) in Isheri North of Ogun State and kidnapped eight persons including three pupils. He said he got N2 million from the ransom paid.

Omoni said he got N250,000 from the Adekoya kidnap because they (kidnappers) were many.

In his confessional statement, Omoni said: 

“I got N250,000 from the ransom of the Isheri North estate secretary kidnap because the sum paid was too small, but for the Nigerian Turkish International College, I got N2 million. I was also involved in the kidnap at Ikorodu road where Aisha Balogun, a popular TV presenter was killed. We didn’t know her until we read in the papers that she was a presenter. I think that incident happened in December, I got about N1 million from the ransom.
“I cannot say what really happened during the estate secretary’s kidnap, but we exchanged fire while escaping with the man. We read in the papers that three security men were killed. Well, I cannot say that I regret everything. I was able to build houses with the money I got from the Nigerian Turkish School. I bought tiles, windows and other assessaries to compete my house at Century village, in Ogijo community”.

It was learnt that the police have launched a manhunt for the fleeing culprits, who are all said to be natives of Ondo State.

Tonto Dikeh's estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill has broken his silence on his marriage crisis.




In excerpts from his new interview with Toast magazine ,he denies having a female PA and says all efforts to contact his wife has proved abortive

Recently, your househelp disclosed to an online media that you had issues with wife and you have not been at home just after your December foundation project last year?

Churchill -

Every family has its ups and downs but I would not want to talk about my family.

Toast-

It was said that after You left home, you were Alleged of having affair with your Female PA?

Churchill- 

Well, it's funny to me, because I don't have female personal Assistant, My PA is Mr Paul, who has been working with me over the years. Besides, it was a sponsored blackmail.

Toast- 

Gist had it that your wife Tonto Dikeh Churchill caused uproar in your mother's home, i.e her mother- inlaw, when she was alleged to have pushed her down and broke everything in her house within 2 hours due to her marijuana reactions

Rumour Has that because of domestic violence from you that your wife moved out with your son?

Churchill 

 I wonder where they got such gist from? I don't believe my wife will say that, besides I frown against such even my foundation preach against domestic violence in some of our charity awareness campaigns. It is obvious that all these channelled attacks are targeted to drag my image and what I believe in to the mud. Well, the truth is that I have never raised my hands against my wife. I have evidence of CCTV Cameras in my mum's house when this happened. It can be replayed if you what us to go that far.

 The news earlier today posted and deleted by one Uche Maduagwu that you have relationship with Bobrisky and Swanky Jerry? What is your take on that?

Churchill 

Truly, I did not see it posted because am not a social media person, but got wind of it later. It's sincerely beats my imagination to think of such relationship...well, don't know Bobrisky but got to know Swanky Jerry through my wife. I believe whoever my wife likes as a friend, I also take as a family friend. Am too busy to think of such unpleasant issues, let alone cooking up defence.

Your Son's One Year birthday is few days from now, do you have plans to celebrate it? Guess you will be celebrating him with your wife?

Churchill 

 Oh! My son, I sure miss him so much. I have planned a worthwhile birthday party for him with friends and family members but it's sad to say that all effort to reach him proved abortive, and this is affecting my business and emotions, The mum won't pick calls and the nanny. Our son has been with the mother and not at home for now. I truly, should not be granting this interview if this is all about my family. Am very optimistic that the family will unite together for King Andrea birthday even though channels to reach my wife is temporarily off.

 How Do You perceived all these happening in your family?

Churchill 

 I see nothing in it, it's a phase of life. Since it does not affect my cheques and savings. But I truly want to call on bloggers or on social media addicts to verify facts before assuming. Every marriage has good and bad moments, it's just unfortunate that I recently discovered that the alleged marriage instability is making headlines on some media platforms. Please Tonto Dikeh fans and well wishers take it easy on her, guess she is still adjusting to motherhood. With time, it will be well.

Churchill

(laugh), the company Kindred Realtor was actually one of my companies before I changed it to our son's name after his birth. I feel it's one of his benefit to start building up a brand for him as he grows.

Nigerian Artist Skales & Manager Osagie arrested for fraud

Skales and his Manager Osagie have allegedly been remanded in Police Custody after confessing to various charges of fraud and diversion of Baseline Records funds.

They are currently assisting the Police in unraveling the extent of the fraud running into tens of millions of naira. And this story is according to Wale Ewedemi, an inside source for Baseline records.

Wale wrote on Instagram that at the inception of the contract, Skales was given a fully furnished luxury apartment in Lekki in a gated estate, with a brand new customized SUV. And a multimillion Naira sign on Fee.

The record label also gave him a free hand to select and run his brand, supported by a multimillion naira corporate expense account.

POLICE BRUTALITY AGAIN!! WE MUST FIGHT AGAINST IT.
A couple of years I wrote here on how police brutalised our friend named Mallum from Song LG, Mallum died as a result of the manhandling by the police at Galbose hospital here in Jimeta. From the time he was brutalised he had not said a word to anyone till he gave up. May Allah forgive Mallum.

All guys from Song knows him he lived at the house of late Abdulsalam Song, at that time we tried our best to bring the culprits to book I even went to Jos and met Barr Solomon Dalung the present minister of youths, he assisted a big deal, he even came to Yola, though eventually the guardian of late Mallum asked us to abandon the case, we really appreciate the effort of Dalung and some spirited individuals, we also need the assistance of people who hates brutality including the Hon minister too to bring the recent perpetrators of brutality to book.

The recent brutality was perpetrated by policemen from Doubeli police station here in Jimeta. The event happened on the 16th of this month(May).A guy named Kabiru Ahmed a graduate of crime management from state polytechnic Yola was brutalised that day around 10am, from that day up to now the guy is unconscious. According to eyewitness report the guy was sitting with some other young men in front of their house at Zaranda street here in Jimeta, just of a sudden police appeared in mufti and rounded them, Kabiru inquire to know their identity which didn't go down well with the officers .

From there they picked him and rough handled him to the point of unconsciousness, they then used his phone to trace his family at about 1am , failing to get any they took him to specialist hospital unconscious, while at the specialist hospital NLC went on strike, the police the hospital referred him to federal medical centre,Yola (FMC), the police then moved him there still unconscious. As iam writing this the guy is still unconscious at the accident and emergency centre of the hospital.

It's touching as I went to FMC today around 5pm seeing him in that condition, he is been fed through his nose using some small rubber pipes, what a pity.For those of us living in Yola pls visit the guy at FMC and see the result of wickedness from people who are supposed to protect us.I urged all well meaning individuals to come and join hands with us to the culprits to book through legal means, and let us not take the law into our hands but let's not relent until justice is done .

Kabiru is unconscious for two weeks, Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

We shouldn't see this case as a case of just Kabiru and his family, tomorrow it maybe you or your brother.Where injustice become the order of the day silence is a CRIME!!!
